Stonybrook Albion Are Still Unbeaten, Even After a Player Was Sent Off
One of their players was sent off early in the match, but Stonybrook Albion won anyway. They still haven't lost a single game this season.
Playing away against Valmor City FC, Stonybrook Albion had a player sent off with a red card in just the 28th minute, leaving them with only ten players for the rest of the match. Instead of falling apart, they scored twice in the second half and won 2-0.
That win was part of a longer streak. Stonybrook Albion have now played nine matches this season without losing once, winning seven and drawing two. Since that match against Valmor, they've also beaten Brackwater FC at home and Embergate FC away, both 2-0, stretching their unbeaten record even further. Embergate FC are currently their closest challenger in the standings.
With 23 points from nine matches, Stonybrook Albion are in first place, three points ahead of Embergate FC. They've also scored more goals than they've conceded by a bigger margin than any other team, and only one other club has conceded as few goals as they have. So far, nobody has managed to beat them, not even when they were down to ten players.
